Foróige Hype Music Festival. 16th of May 2020.
This is one of the largest Foróige music events of the year. Please read all the details below before contacting us. Bus will be leaving Louisburgh at 3pm sharp and the Octagon in Westport at 3:25. Please don't be late. Event finishes in Longford at 11-11:30pm, we plan on getting some food after but we are expected back in Louisburgh by 2-2:30am. Members will update parents/guardians on route back.

NO ALCOHOL. NO DRUGS EVENT
This is strictly a NO ALCOHOL NO DRUGS EVENT. As always, you will be searched before boarding the bus and as per event rules, you may be searched again by event staff on arrival and again at any stage throughout the event, no large bags or backpacks will be allowed into event. Members found with items they shouldn't have will have their parents contacted and they will be expected to come collect you.
Weather:
Weather is normally very good but late evenings do get cold so please have a jacket or hoodie with you, this is Ireland and it might just snow too.
Other important notes:
At 50 euro including return bus makes this one of the more expensive foroige events but this is a fantastic way for your teen to experience an alcohol free outdoor festival with 5,000+ young people their own age. This event is always well supervised, as well as private secruity and event staff, there are always over 600 foroige adult leaders in attendance.
This year all Louisburgh Foróige members will need to have your Hype Teen Music Festival ticket purchased on or before the Tuesday 3rd of March. Tickets are 35 euro each + 15 euro for the return bus to Longford, your ticket's are transferable to another Louisburgh Foroige member after closing date but the price is not refundable under any circumstances.
This is a great event and you will have a ball. Hype is an outdoor music festival and was attended by over 5,000 foroige teenagers last year.
Once in the grounds of the event, you will NOT be permitted to return to the bus.
There are chipper vans there on the day for you to purchase food and drinks, some of these vans do great €5 meal deals. Please bring money for this or indeed bring food with you.
Please dress for for the weather on the day, event takes place in a grass field so low or flat shoes is advised. Colourful wellies are always a popular choice. its advisable you also bring sunscreen And as mentioned above, bring a jacket or hoodie to wear for after the sun goes down.
There will be lots of activities within the event grounds for you to try, all these activities are free so try and get round to as many of them as you can. There is also a very popular disco tent, however keep in mind this tent closes at 9pm, don't miss out, get in there early.
if you are bringing money with you to this event, please don’t bring large bills like 50 notes as some event stands or food trailers will refuse to take them.
HYPE 2019
This event was attended by over 5,000 teenagers last year so all our members are asked to keep an eye out for each other. There will be over 600 adult staff and leaders at this event. Always follow any instructions from any leader, event staff or volunteers on the day.
Lost an found:
there is a lost and found office within the grounds, if you find something, example, money, a camera or a mobile phone, hand it to a leader or give it into lost and found yourself. if you loose something, go to lost and found yourself and ask has your item been handed in.
After the event:
After the event, we assemble at the EXIT and board the bus as a group. Do not go back to the bus after the event without a leader knowing you are doing so.
The main aim for this event is to have fun and enjoy the day/night entertainment, this is a very well run, SAFE event and you will be very well looked after. Michael, Ana and Jackie are the leaders travelling to this event, Michael has been to this event many times before and you will all be given his contact details before leaving the bus.
